  1. UNLEARN / EDUCATE YOURSELF with the proper info The Diseases of Western Civilization always cluster together – OBESITY (being overweight), Heart Disease, Hypertension, Type Two Diabetes, Dementia are a consequence of our Diet, namely the consumption of SUGAR In its various forms: a)  Too much Carbohydrate in Its various forms: Potatoes, Starch Vegetables, Grains, Rice, Pasta, TV dinners, Components of a Fast Food Meal (The sugary Soda, the French-fries, the Bun) b)  Unlearn all that you thought you knew about the causes of Obesity. It’s not the intake of high fat foods; these foods are not what’s making you fat.
  2. Clean Up / Remove all the Bad Foods in your fridge / pantry /home / office Remove all packaged foods, Boxed Cereals, Crackers, Cookies, Canned Sauces, Basically anything packaged.
  3. Learn How to read labels and understand how to detect hidden Carbs in Foods
  4. Follow our program religiously for 21 days and beyond – Noting that this is a lifestyle change not a DIET
  5. Start By eating the right foods and completely restrict all forms o f sugar, your body will go through a metamorphosis, initially you will go through a phase of withdrawal, but once through this you will enter weight loss nirvana as your body will seamlessly use your stored bodyfat as your Primary Fuel for metabolism.
  6. Keto-Adaptation The state of Ketosis was the normal state our ancestors lived in for many millennia and is completely natural. The ideal diet for human is 60 to 70% FAT, 10-15% Protein and 5 to 10% Carbohydrate.

You will restrict all most all sources of carbohydrate in your diet and increase you intake of quality fats, modest amount of protein from meat sources (eggs, chicken, fish, beef, lamb, etc).

You will not consume any product that has the label low-fat, reduced fat, 0% fat, fat free.

Limit your dairy intake to things like: full fat natural yogurt, half and half cream, 35% cream, and sour cream.

Use butter not margarine.

Do not be concerned about salt intake; your macronutrient profile change will likely require you to add salt.

Initially your body will run out of glucose and then your glycogen stores in your muscle tissue and liver.

Withdrawal: Because of your consumption of the standard north American diet for the last 10-20-50 years it will feel like you are going through withdrawal after the first 48 to 72 hours, be patient the human body is precision entity and all of your hormonal imbalances will rebalance.

Your resting insulin level will diminish and the counter hormone will be activated. Your bodies’ vast stores of energy in the form of your body fat will start to seamlessly be utilized for energy. Ketosis is a metabolic state in which most of the body’s energy supply comes from ketone bodies in the blood, in contrast to a state of glycolysis in which blood glucoseprovides most of the energy. It is characterised by serum concentrations of ketone bodies over 0.5 millimolar, with low and stable levels of insulin and blood glucose. It is almost always generalized with hyperketonemia, that is, an elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood throughout the body. Ketone bodies are formed by ketogenesis when liver glycogenstores are depleted (or from metabolising medium-chain triglycerides). The main ketone bodies used for energy are acetoacetate and β-hydroxybutyrate, and the levels of ketone bodies are regulated mainly by insulin and glucagon. Most cells in the body can use both glucose and ketone bodies for fuel, and during ketosis, free fatty acids and glucose synthesis (gluconeogenesis) fuel the remainder.

Longer-term ketosis may result from fasting or staying on a low-carbohydrate diet, and deliberately induced ketosis serves as a medical intervention for intractable epilepsy. In glycolysis, higher levels of insulin promote storage of body fat and block release of fat from adipose tissues, while in ketosis, fat reserves are readily released and consumed. For this reason, ketosis is sometimes referred to as the body’s “fat burning” mode

Physiologically our species was designed for fasting.  Periods of brief intermittent fasting for half a day, 1 day, even up to 3, 5, 7 or 21 days and beyond. This combined with a very low carb lifestyle will accelerate your progress.

You will start with a phase of carbohydrate restriction that will force your body to burn up your glucose and glycogen stores in about 24-36 hours. Epilepsy is a disease that causes seizures due to excessive brain activity.
